The riverfront capital of Goa, Panjim, is set to transform into a vibrant global stage for arts and culture as the Serendipity Arts Festival (SAF) returns for its landmark 10th edition. Scheduled from December 12 to 21, the festival marks a decade of artistic innovation, evolving into South Asia’s largest and most influential multi-disciplinary arts event.
Spread across more than 300,000 square feet of heritage locations along the Mandovi River, SAF 2025 brings together the full spectrum of creative expression—music, dance, theatre, craft traditions, culinary arts, visual arts, photography, design, and new media—under one expansive cultural umbrella.
This year, the festival features over 150 curated projects, conceptualised and led by more than 35 distinguished curators, scholars, artists, and cultural practitioners from India and across the world. The milestone edition underscores Serendipity’s long-standing commitment to making art not only accessible, but participatory and community-driven.
One of the defining highlights of the 10th edition is the festival’s special focus on Tamil Nadu’s cultural legacy, presented through four major projects celebrating the state’s centuries-old traditions.
These projects will bring to life:
Tamil Nadu’s indigenous folk forms
Classical performance traditions
Traditional culinary knowledge
The region’s deep-rooted community art practices
The initiative reflects Serendipity’s mission to spotlight lesser-seen cultural narratives from across India, creating a platform where regional identity meets global appreciation.
To mark the upcoming edition, Serendipity Arts, in collaboration with Hotel The Park Chennai, hosted a special pre-festival event dedicated to the themes of art, philanthropy, collaboration, and social impact.
The panel discussion titled “Collaborate, Connect and Make Impact: The Indian Way of Giving” brought together influential voices from industry and culture, including Sunil Kant Munjal, Priya Paul, and Ranvir Shah, moderated by senior journalist Narayan Lakshman. The conversation explored India’s evolving philanthropic landscape and the power of art in shaping inclusive social ecosystems.
Speaking about the landmark edition, Sethu Vaidyanathan, Senior Leadership Representative at Serendipity Arts, emphasized the festival’s core mission:
